MARVANZA have long been one of the reference points of the new reggae style scene. Their music, influenced by Mediterranean textures and an international sound, has enabled the band to gain credit increasingly at national level, becoming one of the beacons for Calabria and beyond. Their presence at PRIMO MAGGIO in San Giovanni’s Square in Rome, broadcasted on RAI 3, and a long and successful tour of concerts, have led them to take part in major events like the Demo Fest Rai Radio Uno, Pañeariza, Kaulonia Tarantella Festival, Roccella Jazz Festival, Reggae Train Sun Fest and many others, collaborating with artists such as Gianni Cinelli, famous comedian of Zelig on the show known and interntional artists such as the great Manu Chao, Alborosie, Roy Paci and Aretuska, Giuliano Palma, J-Ax (Articolo31), DJ Jad (Articolo31), Mr Vegas, 99 Posse, Skara Mucci, Almamegretta, Clementino, Après La Classe, Sud Sound System, Villa Ada Posse, Radici nel Cemento, BandaBardò and many others, The band is preparing to release their third album, recorded at Marvanza Studio Record, mixed and mastered at Massive Art Studio in Milan, one of the best ever studios chosen by majors and artists and some of the most reliable band

THE SHOW: it is impossible no to get captivated by the Marvanza show. A show with no age boundaries, that gathers all the joy and addictive sounds of reggae mixed with fascinating rhythms, a trademark that has already set apart the band in the last few years and that has made a lot of people dance in squares and clubs all over Italy during their previous tours. The new album performed in a live version and entirely put in the show set list, will tell about a society more and more controversial, unfair but still capable of some glimpses of humanity and beauty. In addition, tunes from preceding albums will be obviously performed, blending all this with some personal version of songs that have marked the music scene of different ages

THE ALBUM: Marvanza’s choice to give the title “Umanamente” (Humanly) to their record is not a coincidence: it’s the result of a long journey in the contradictions of humanity, with its wonders and tragedies, to become an invitation to deal with themes raised in the songs. Strong and topical issues, such as the violence suffered by children, often being victims of this warped society, the protection of minorities, of outcasts, the nightmare of immigration, the superficiality of appearance in society and many others, An encouragement to regain some sympathy and a more human approach towards other people and diversity escaping from the preconceived one, which is full of clichés.

EXODOS is a journey in music and pictures. A format which allows to put together music and cinema in the same artistic instant in a cine-concert. Lighting effects will bring the spectator to dive even more completely in images and live music as in a third dimension. In particular the show is made of live music, an unreleased movie lasting approximately 60 minutes and the short film MER ROUGE. The JOURNEY is the main theme. The sequence of all videos will give a message inspired by the concept of mobility pursued by every living creature in this world to improve its personal, group and community condition.
Mer Rouge is part of this story: Nick and Sherif are two different spirits bound by a subtle similarity. Both of them leave their certainties to build themselves from scratch. Nick goes back to his home town after many years, here he meets Sherif, a young Senegalese now living in his old house.
Exodos, the movie is constructed with the rhythms of live music, performed by the reggae band Marvanza, which tells a journey in the contradictions of humanity made of wonder and tragedy through a set list of tracks from their last album Umanamente (Humanly). An encouragement to regain some sympathy and a more human approach towards other people and diversity, escaping from the preconceived one, which is full of clichés. A creative journey, which shows the natural inclination of every living creature in undertaking this path to improve his living conditions: led to it for his own evolution![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]
